THE DONWOOD COMMUNITY PROGRAM

Our Community program is designed for those who live at home in the community and would like to participate in interesting activities. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for carers to take a break, while knowing their loved ones are in a positive, safe and supportive environment. All referrals for this program are through My Aged Care. Visit their website or call 1800 200 422 to learn more.

What’s in our Community Program?

The community program is a series of activities for persons 65+ years of age. By participating in our activity programs, you can:

  • Meet new people and make friends
  • Learn new skills
  • Build your confidence
  • Get out of the house on bus trips
  • Participate in music, games, cooking and more

On Monday, Wednesday and Friday we run a program for people requiring memory support. Tuesdays and Thursday the program is for all others. We have an Italian speaking volunteer in our Wednesday memory support group. There is also a qualified Physiotherapist and Allied Health Assistant available providing physiotherapy services and group exercise.

How much does it cost?

The fees are means tested which means some people who are recognised as having a higher financial status will pay more. Our aim is to keep our fees as low as possible to allow everyone the opportunity to access our programs. Call us on (03) 9845 8584 to learn more.
