Donwood is very fortunate to have a loyal band of volunteers who willingly give their time to support our staff and residents. An essential part of life at Donwood, volunteering is exceptionally rewarding to those who choose to give their time and kindness, and to those who live here.

Our volunteers may support staff and provide companionship to residents by:

  • Chaperoning outings
  • Playing games, reading and organising other social activities
  • Shopping
  • Driving buses
  • Serving meals
  • And much more…

Want to make new friends, contribute to improving another person’s life, and become a member of a valued community group? Then, consider joining Donwood’s Auxiliary group.

This special volunteer group meets within the community once a month to raise funds to buy additional goods for Donwood and its residents. A highly rewarding personal experience, you can help the Auxiliary encourage donations, welcome new members, and discover more ways to make a real difference to our facility and people.
